Planning Ahead

A pre-payment funeral plan enables you to ensure that when the time comes, you are given the funeral of your own choice. As well as a number of flexible payment options, you are assured that the price you agree now will meet the costs of your funeral, regardless of how many years have passed.

We can take instruction from you regarding your wishes, and set up the plan. Your relatives are of course free to nominate a different Funeral Director to carry out the funeral when the time comes (if for example you have moved away from the area or they would perhaps prefer a service in your home town).

The funds are held by The Golden Charter Trust, a separate financial entity from Golden Charter, run by a board of independent trustees. The agreed plan value will then be paid to the nominated Independent Funeral Director when the funeral takes place.

We also work very closely with The Probate Bureau, who offer advice on all aspects of probate and trusts. They also provide a competitive Will Writing Service, which can be arranged at our premises or in your own home, at a time to suit you.

Among their varied services, The Probate Bureau offer free guidance (at home if required) for those wishing to handle the paperwork themselves, a solicitor backed service without charging an hourly rate, and a set fee structure.
